Look Who’s Using Our Data

Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, EY, U.S. News & World Report Among our Power Users

June 18, 2024

Many thousands of you use Good Jobs First’s six unique databases — and we love hearing from you about them.

Today, we’re sharing news about some high-profile users — you’re in good company!

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau just announced it will create a registry of companies that have broken consumer protection laws and that are subject to court orders regarding their ongoing behavior. It used Violation Tracker to estimate how many firms will be affected. See Phil Mattera’s blog, Dirt Diggers Digest for more details.

EY (formerly Ernst & Young), a Big Four accounting firm, just published its “Global Integrity Report 2024,” using customized data from both Violation Tracker and our British replica, Violation Tracker UK.

U.S. News & World Report just published its new “Best Companies to Work For” list, which was compiled in part with Violation Tracker data we licensed to them.

We license full sets of Violation Tracker and/or Subsidy Tracker data to a dozen other companies, such as the ESG rating service JUST Capital. We also provide the datasets to hundreds of academics worldwide. As a result, scores of articles based on the data have appeared in scholarly journals.

And since we launched our subscriber portal for power users of our data, hundreds of people have taken advantage of features available only to subscribers (plans start at just $25!).

In these truth-challenged times, we are proud that so many people and institutions value our unique compilations of public records!

Thank you as always for your support!
