Once again, Tesla’s Elon Musk called for ending the practice of giving generous subsidies to companies — after receiving billions of taxpayer dollars himself as his workers grew Tesla.
In an Op-Ed in USA Today, Chris Brennan wrote about the relationship between former President Donald Trump and Musk, and why Trump may not end up receiving that $45 million Musk promised.
As Brennan noted, Good Jobs First has found “Tesla and related companies have received more than $2.8 billion in local, state and federal government subsidies” and that doesn’t include significant incentives vehicle buyers have received.
