Amazon has received $4.7 billion in subsidies from governments around the world for warehouses, data centers, film production, fashion studies, grocery stores, call centers and more, a new report by Good Jobs First and UNI Global Union reveals.
But that figure is undoubtedly a vast under-count, due to the lack of transparency in so many countries, and Amazon’s increasingly secretive practices.
